Learning Beyond Textbooks

Agricultural Exhibition Visit

An enriching and insightful visit to the Agricultural Exhibition gave our students practical exposure to Indian agriculture, animal husbandry, and sustainable practices.
From traditional tools like the plough, sickle, and hoe to modern machinery such as tractors, harvesters, and drone-based spraying, they witnessed the perfect blend of tradition and technology.
They explored seeds, exotic vegetables, mushroom cultivation, and eco-friendly products like natural soaps and shikakai. Students also learned how livestock—cows, buffaloes, and hens—play a vital role in supporting the farming economy, with a special highlight being the sighting of a Guinness World Record–holding shortest buffalo.
The visit beautifully connected classroom concepts with real-life agricultural practices, helping students recognize farm animals and food sources, understand crop production, identify tools and sustainable products, and analyze the importance of animal husbandry in the agricultural economy.

IMS Library Visit

As part of their learning journey, our students visited the IMS Library, Ahmednagar College on 7th January 2026 to understand the role of a library in their learning journey.
They explored textbooks, reference books, competitive exam materials, research sections, and digital resources, which helped them see how libraries support studies, build reading habits, and encourage independent learning.
With guidance from the librarian, students learned how to search for books, use library facilities responsibly, and maintain silence and discipline.
This visit helped students realize that a library is not just a place to read, but a space to think, explore, and grow into confident learners.

Brick Kiln Visit

Stepping beyond the classroom, our students experienced real-world learning through an educational visit to a brick factory (vit bhatti).
They learned about the brick-making process—from preparing clay to molding, drying, and firing bricks in the kiln.
The visit helped students understand traditional industries, manual labour, and the importance of bricks in everyday construction.
The students also interacted with the laborers. They were eager to learn about their working hours, wages, the challenges their families face, and the specific sizes and prices of the bricks.
